High Altitude Balloon

High-altitude balloons (HAB) for my use are unmanned balloons, filled with helium or hydrogen (prefer H over He due to the high cost of helium). HABs are released into the stratosphere, generally attaining between 10 to 23 milesabove sea level. My oldest son originally introduced me to the concept and asked to help in comms around my ham radio experience.

This page will focus more on the real-time communications over APRS and the 2m band.
